Door4 in Lancashire and Manchester.
Door4 has its headquarters in Burnley, Lancashire. We have a satellite office in Manchester city centre. These convenient locations make us accessible to every business in the North West of England. In truth, thanks to technology and good practice, we work with clients across the UK, Europe and the US.
Burnley Wharf, Burnley, Lancashire – head office
Our roots are in East Lancashire, in a former cotton milltown that has become a thriving digital hub of activity in the 21st century.
Our studio occupies the penthouse in Burnley Wharf, a historic listed building that sits beside the Leeds-Liverpool canal.
If you’re counting your steps and not afraid to work up a sweat, we’re three floors up; if you want to arrive fresh-faced and composed, there’s a lift.
We’re around the corner from Manchester Road train station, up the road from the bus station, and three minutes’ drive from the M65 motorway. We do have parking on site but please use the bays marked with our signage.
Outside the Wharf, at the top of the steps, is a buzzer you can use to get our attention for admittance to the building. There’s an intercom beside the disabled access door if you need access this way.
Burnley’s digital transformation
During the Industrial Revolution (1760-1840), Burnley was transformed from a rural farming area into one of the world’s largest producers of cotton and a major centre of engineering. During this time, Manchester was part of Lancashire.
In 2018, Burnley (along with Manchester) was named by Tech Nation as one of the fastest-growing digital clusters in the UK. Door4 is a member of the Burnley chapter of Digital Lancashire and our Founder, Leon Calverley, is a Burnley Bondholder.
Deansgate, Manchester
Since 2015, Manchester and Burnley have been a lot closer, thanks to the reopening of a direct train route between Burnley Manchester Road and Victoria Station.
We maintain a permanent space for working, client meetings and our Decoding Digital workshops at 129 Deansgate, opposite the iconic John Rylands Library.
Deansgate is a handy location just a tram ride or swift Uber away from Deansgate, Piccadilly and Victoria train stations or a 10 minute/20 minute walk respectively. Alternatively, there are plenty of car parks in the area.
Do you want to meet up?
If you’re in Lancashire, Manchester or West Yorkshire it will be a cinch to get together. We do travel throughout the UK if an in-person meeting is better for you than a Zoom or Teams call. See our contact page for more information.
