Mug shot – Emilia Truta: Associate Digital Project Manager
The Door4 Mug shot interviews – as much as you can find out about us in the time it takes to drink a brew.
Name
Emilia Truta
Role
Associate Digital Project Manager
Started at Door4
Almost 18 months
Oh so you’ve found your feet then?
Yes I’d say so, I learn something new everyday but that’s just a part of the job
Want a brew?
I’ll have peppermint tea please. A year ago I would have had a black coffee.
Oh really? What’s with the change up?
Too much caffeine
What do you do at Door4?
So, I’d say my role was split into two main areas. Managing areas/projects and ensuring we have the resources in place to get the work done and essentially make sure that everyone knows what the key objective tasks are on a monthly basis.
The other side of my role focuses on the operational side of the business. I base a lot of my efforts around team development, making sure the agency provides a fantastic culture, supportive network and an overall great place to work in.
Now describe your role in three words.
Very very busy
What’s your favourite thing about working at Door4?
I’m going to say the people and the fact that it’s an agency, so we deal with a vast range of clients, industries and projects. Everyday is different and everyday is a learning day, which keeps me motivated.
Complete this sentence: ‘In another life. I’d have been a …’
Oooh, I’d have done something to do with travel. Maybe a travel blogger. I love to travel.
Where would you like to travel the most?
Everywhere/anywhere
What even to Manchester?
I’ve already thoroughly explored Manchester. I base my destination through browsing Skyscanner. It’s great when they have deals on, but I can never book the same city break twice.
What’s been the most interesting project you’ve worked on to date?
I’ve recently managed and completed two different web projects for the same client. I particularly enjoyed working on these, more so because they were my first opportunity at Door4 to showcase my skills and learn. As with most projects, it’s never as plain sailing as you anticipate but we have a really good team and all pulled together to create two new really great websites.
At Door4, whose job would you be most scared of doing – why?
The technical web development team.
I’m always blown away by the work they produce and how good they are at just solving problems.
How do you see your role at Door4 developing in the future?
Since I’ve joined the team just over 18 months ago, the overall growth of the business has scaled continuously. We’ve had lots of new clients and new team members joined us and we’ve since opened up our Manchester office.
It is a very exciting time for Door4, and I’m really excited to see how I can help evolve the agency throughout this journey.
Tell us a (clean) joke.
The only joke I know, and to date still don’t really understand why it’s a joke but;
“Why did the chicken cross the road?”
“To get to the other side”.
Thanks Emilia!
