Mug shot – Annabel Pearson, Marketing Lead

The Door4 Mug shot interviews – as much as you can find out about us in the time it takes to drink a brew.

Started at Door4:

Very recently!

Want a brew?

A very very (oat) milky coffee or peppermint tea please 🙂.

What do you do at Door4?

I have been tasked with marketing a marketing agency! I’m going to be pitching in ideas to make Door4 ‘famous’, organising events and, most importantly, getting to know the team of wizards here at Door4 so that I can share all of their fabulous success stories with the world.

Now describe your role in three words.

Learning a lot.

You’re our newest colleague. Where did you work/what did you do before?

I’ve been working as a freelance marketing busybody for about a year and a half! On everything from a festival to a cosmetic dental brand. Before that, I had in-house marketing roles.

What are you looking forward to getting your teeth into at Door4?

So much! There’s so much scope and potential for amazing things! Making each Decoding Digital event bigger and better, launching new campaigns, and just yesterday we discussed buying a branded dinghy so we can film some Ask The Expert content whilst on the canal. I’m not sure if everyone was joking but I think it sounds like a hit 😛.

Name one thing you’re not very good at out of the office

Parking my car – I have very poor spatial awareness! I haven’t hit anything… *yet*

What’s the best thing about working at Door4?

I’ve only been here a few weeks, so it would be a bit cheesy to say ‘the people!’ when I barely know them, but I think everyone seems really nice so far!

Who is your professional hero and why?

Michael Scott from The Office. If he can be a manager, I truly believe anybody can do anything.

If you were given tomorrow off work, what would you do for the day?

Live under my heated blanket and read a book cover to cover. No non-fiction for me, if there are no aliens or magic, I’m not interested.

What would the title of your autobiography be?

‘I once tried to get out of a moving car on the motorway because of a wasp and other unfortunate tales’.

At Door4, whose job would you be most scared of doing – why?

The Developers. The idea of building a website and staring at complicated code makes me feel woozy.

Tell us a (clean) joke.

Patient: Doctor doctor I feel like a pair of curtains!?
Doc: Pull yourself together man!
