Join an ambitous performance marketing agency

Life at a digital performance agency is tough! Tough, but rewarding.  Rewarding, and progressive. Progressive, and a constant learning journey.

As one of my colleagues once said…

“You’ll need to enjoy being busy.  At Door4, you’ll be the busiest person you know!”

And he was absolutely right.  We juggle client accounts, data and reports, insights and new business pushes.  We work with media, content, campaigns, we are constantly deriving insights and presenting ideas, concepts and above all that – strategic thinking that shapes our client businesses.

So here in 2021 (checks date – yes it is!) we’re now looking to expand the Door4 team, as we respond to a growing demand for our services.

In addition, 2019-20 saw considerable refinement of our agency proposition.  We narrowed our product/market fit – to Reach/Convert/Scale.  We focused our marketing to hit e-commerce/lead-generation businesses – those who NEED digital performance (which meant avoiding vague ‘brochure’ and vanity briefs.)  This means that our client base now DEMAND performance and results.  And this is a great thing.  We also have many more opportunities, from high-performance businesses.

We’ve experienced a buoyant start to the year.  2019 and 2020 presented unique challenges for many in this sector, but the last five months have seen considerable upturn in confidence.  To that end, we’re setting out our stall, to find the very best in digital marketing talent, who are on the lookout for their next challenge.

What roles are available?

We don’t usually go out with ‘job roles’ and look for a square peg for a square hole.  Most of our brilliant team members here at Door4 were hired because of what they’d achieved and their traits – not to fill a specific vacancy.

And that’s where we are now.  We want to meet amazing people, and explore how they fit into our team for 2021 and 2022.

What roles do you EXPECT to be available

Our business does, and will need more people in these types of roles:

  • Account Executives and Account Managers – managing client relationships, running accounts, and delivering good (and occasionally tough) news to clients
  • Digital Performance Team –  paid search and shopping and paid social managers, executives and campaign planners
  • Creative Team – designers, content writers
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation specialists and UX researchers
  • Developers – skills across the board, but specifically Magento developers and also WordPress, Shopify and OpenCart.  We’re mainly LAMP focused, but Windows stack devs are always welcome to chat

What makes a Door4 hero?

For most roles, we’re looking for relevant commercial experience, and a solid understanding of the modern digital landscape.

Personality is crucial.  We’re a pragmatic, business and results first operation – and that’s why our clients like us.  We blend creative, ideas and results – with the emphasis on the latter.

So – if you’re a likeable person, with a streak of self-confidence – without politics and huffing/puffing then you’re probably a good fit for us.

Our primary office is in Burnley, but we’re building growing our Manchester city centre office.  So – if you want to work in either Burnley Wharf, or Deansgate Manchester, then this makes you an even better fit.

OK – now what?

I’m looking to strike up conversations with great people in August/September 2021 – to explore opportunities at Door4.  We will always respond to every personal enquiry.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, to join us on our journey – contact us by email in the first instance.  [email protected]

Agencies: We’re not looking for agencies at this point – don’t call us, we’ll call you.

Thanks for reading!
